Layered

These works are created in camera through double exposure, layering light, colour, shape, and botanical forms into a single photographic image.

I am drawn to the soft, dreamlike quality this process creates, and the way each image invites the viewer to look slowly, searching through the layers.

By adding a second image over the first, the process begins to behave almost like painting. Colours, textures, light, and form interact with what is already there, creating a blended image that is both deliberate and not entirely predictable. That sense of interaction and transformation is what continues to draw me to this way of working.
